“When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced.
Live your life so that when you die,
the world cries and you rejoice.”
~ Cherokee Expression
Sometimes I get cranky with the world and let things get to me. But I know it’s important to remember and appreciate the things that are wonderful and grand. I love beautiful artwork, photographs, and poetry. Above are a couple of things I found today that I really liked!
What are some of the things that brighten your life?

I think it is hard to live life well.
I appreciate the push in the right direction.
I often get bogged down by the silly things that really have no value or meaning, and in their place, foray the precious elements that mean the most.
It’s a great suggestion, and something to remember.
I love the picture. I wish I always saw the world, in that light.
Lisa, Great comment!
Hmmm. Happy children in public places. Beautiful sunrises – even if I don’t one very often – and sunsets. The ocean. I had a conversation with a man from Holland a few days back and he said he loved the desert, that it spoke to him. The heat rising from the ground in waves is what brought peace to his soul.
It must be true that God has given us all we truly need to be happy. Unfortunately we get caught up in acquiring stuff and muddies the vision for us.
I am looking forward to the welcome home party myself.
robyn: Totally agree! Not sure I appreciate the desert as much as some, though. I’m getting the sense that you’re overworked lately. (?)
