An honest climate prediction!

sun_stereo_4dec2006_lrg

First, a little bit of a history lesson, before I get on to my prediction.

For those who don’t know, global warming stopped over 10 years ago. You wouldn’t know this, however, if you’ve been getting your news from the major media outlets, who constantly push the “sky is falling” United Nations propaganda. Add to that, National Geographic footage of melting glaciers (normal), icebergs breaking off from the arctic shelf (also normal [what sunk the Titanic?]), and all other manner of things, that when viewed by a distant and ignorant population, under the pretext of climate change, causes dumb hysteria.

These reported geological events (purported evidence of climate change) have been going on for thousands of years. Greenland, now covered by a massive ice sheet was once green, and teaming with plant life! Ice core samples reveal that our planet home has undergone massive temperature fluctuations for millenia, long before humans entered the equation. In fact, global temperature is radically unstable, and always has been.

Before you freak out completely, just know that greenhouse based global warming is pure B.S. Furthermore, this massive concern because each year doesn’t have exactly the same weather as the last one is just plain foolishness. It will always be warming, or cooling, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.

So, back to my prediction: It will start warming again in the next few years.

My prediction is based on solar weather. We can’t regulate the sun. But we can forecast it! The sun cycles through periods of high and low activity—something, I am familiar with as an Amateur Radio operator. Sunspots and solar flares charging the ionosphere are very important to long range worldwide radio communications, and the lull in solar activity which began to occur just after 2001—about the same time that global temps started decreasing—has been very depressing to Amateur Radio Operators around the world. My 10 meter transceiver has been shelved for years, because the band is simply dead.

These solar cycles are fairly routine, and usually occur approximately every 11 years or so. They are comprised of what is called a solar maximum, and a solar minimum. And we have been experiencing a very deep and extended solar minimum, which followed an unusually intense solar maximum. The current minimum is so deep that it’s actually generating some media attention. Please read this NASA report on the subject, it’s very interesting!

So all this leads me to my prediction. You see, we recently got our first bona fide sunspot in I don’t know how long, and I’m hoping it will be the first of many. The sun has been incredibly quiet for quite a few years now, and it’s due to start waking up soon. As it begins to experience increased magnetic fluctuations, flares, and sunspots, it will throw more particle and electromagnetic radiation our way, brighten, and if history repeats, global temps will increase.

So get ready, Al Gore is probably going to have a heyday selling his carbon credits, and the U.N. will convince the United States to get into the energy regulation business big time, and our march towards slavery will continue as our schools and media program us to believe that we’ll die if we don’t allow our government to regulate us into an impoverished peasant state—being much easier to rule and control.

We’ll see if I’m right! And remember, you heard it here!

North Korea is da bomb!

composit-nuke-il

North Korea has successfully tested a nuclear bomb.

I doubt if I need to explain what a terrible thing this is, but since N. Korea’s President, Kim Jong Il is truly insane and once threatened to baptize the imperialist Americans and their allies in a nuclear “sea of fire”, I’m a little bit alarmed that he now has the means to actually do it!

Prior to now, N. Korea has only made a laughing stalk of itself by conducting long-range missile tests in defiance of international protests, which have resulted mostly in pathetic, or in some cases spectacular, failures to the point that no one really takes N. Korea’s threatenings seriously any more.

But recently N. Korea fired a missile over Japan and into the Pacific ocean—defying United Nations Security Council Resolution 1718, and causing total outrage. N. Korea insists that it was a peaceful communications satellite launch. Underwater Ocean Satellites (UOS’s) are based on advanced N. Korean technology closely guarded, and unknown to the rest of the world.

The fact that N. Korea thinks it is perfectly reasonable to test-fire ballistic missiles over other countries is alarming by itself. But we now have to wonder if the next test will be tipped with a functional nuclear warhead! (Not good!)

Q.) Why should we be worried here in the US?

A.) N. Korea is very poor, and has been practicing Dictatorial Socialism (similar to the Obamic Socialism currently being tried here in the US) for much longer than we have, so they’ve been able to completely run their country into the toilet—resulting in massive dependence on foreign humanitarian aid, and becoming a superb model for us to follow here in the States with President Obama.

In fact, N. Korea is so poor (and stupid) that when China sends them trains loaded with humanitarian aid, food, and supplies; N. Korea keeps the trains, and refuses to let them return to China! In N. Korea, trains are badly worn-out and in short supply. So they steal the aid trains, much to China’s frustration.

N. Korea has a huge army (4th largest in the world), but it is starving and poorly equipped, so it’s not as formidable a force as it could be, except in number.

My worry is that N. Korea’s desperate financial situation, their disdain for America, political isolation, paranoia, and the fact that they now posses expensive nuclear weapons—very desirable to terrorists—could lead them to sell nuclear weapons to people who would use them to kill millions of Americans in an instant—a literal fraction of a second.

It’s a bad situation! But thank goodness our President and the United Nations are able to issue harsh words of disapproval and anemic security resolutions to be ignored with impunity. We’re sure to be safe now—and Iran, seeing how serious we are, will probably cease it’s own frenzied production of weapons grade Uranium-235.

I know I’ll be sleeping well tonight….

The little mower that could.

Today, I did something different. I stepped out into my yard this afternoon, and witnessed nature in all its glory. A gorgeous spring day of brilliant color and sound—all laid out before me like an endless carpet woven of the very threads that make up life, earth, and light. I was taken aback. It was beautiful!

Then looking down at my feet, I was astonished to find that they were almost completely obscured by the very tall grass—and at that moment, inside my head, the voice of my thoughts said, “It’s mower time.” M.C. Hammer style.

And that’s where the challenge and I met for a battle.

My mower has seen better days, and after giving it a cursory inspection I remembered that last time I attempted to start the rusty old thing I found the ignition system in need of repair. Being late in the fall, I just put it away and figured I’d deal with it come spring. Well, thanks a lot Paul of the past, you ever-lovin slacker!

So, my nephew, Jay; and son, Ethan; and I, all went outside for some outdoor fun, and I began dis-assembly of the top half of the mower. After checking the ignition coil with my trusty digital multimeter I determined it to be electrically intact, and re-routed the “kill” wire, leaving it disconnected from the broken, cable-actuated, kill switch, but still externally available for future use, and Jay and I proceeded to partially reassemble, and check for spark. And spark there was! Good compression, timing, and spark—three of the four things needed for a functioning engine; the fourth being fuel.

To make a long story short, I refueled the Briggs and Stratton gasoline engine with some diesel fuel that I had forgotten was in the gas can, and complicated the repair process significantly.

But never fear, the Bozark is an expert on small engines, and we eventually got everything fixed up and working fine, and I, under the expert supervision of Jay and Ethan mowed the great, green, grassy lawn, making a ridiculous number of stops to empty the grass bag.

And I loved it! It was hard, but it felt so good! And now, when I step out on the porch, I am simply struck the beauty of spring—the warmth, the sun, the clear blue sky, and my newly cut lawn. I could be content to stand on the porch all day admiring it.

And it occurs to me that work is a blessing. What else brings such satisfaction as a job well done, and the knowing that you have added to the beauty of God’s creation, and the lives of your fellow men.

I hope that each of you are able to go forth, and with talent and vigor, make your mark on the world, and then bask in the reward.

It’s a great thing!

Just blame it on Global Warming!

According to the experts (i.e. recipients of large government research grants), practically everything that’s wrong in the world is a result of global warming. The long list of reported problems range from feral cat population increases, to rape. That’s right, rape. (I know!)

So it occurs to me that most of us have probably witnessed some of the negative impacts of climate change in our own lives. (I have personally experienced an increasingly frequent desire to “attack” certain individuals as a result of climate change, but have thus far been able to suppress the impulse, much to my dissatisfaction.)

And because climate change has such far reaching and unpredictable consequences, and seems to negatively impact nearly every facet of our lives, it is probably reasonable to assume that non of us, individually, are responsible for anything bad that happens in our lives.

Late for work? “Sorry I’m late, boss — this global warming thing is really slowing me down. I think we should talk about it in our next company meeting; it’s really affecting our productivity.”

Gaining weight? Climate change has been shown to increase calorie retention. Who would have thought that turning on lights could cause obesity, and yet the experts say. . .

Bill collectors calling? Climate change is expensive. “Get off my back, I don’t have the money, climate change is affecting me. Call me back when you buy a Prius and fix the environment, you ecologically impaired mean person!”

If the bank turns you down for a loan, explain that you’ll be forced to burn coal, plastic, and tires to heat your home.

You see, there is a silver lining to every cloud. If you play it right, climate change, while destroying the world, can bring you endless relief from guilt!

A young Republican

A friend of mine sent this to me today in an email, and I just had to pass it along, because it’s so dang cute!

I recently asked my friend’s little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up.

She said she wanted to be the President some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, “If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?”

She replied, “I’d give food and houses to all the homeless people.”

Her parents beamed.

“Wow. . . what a worthy goal.” I told her, “But you don’t have to wait until you’re President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I’ll pay you $50. Then I’ll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house.”

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, “Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?”

I said, “Welcome to the Republican Party.”

Her parents still aren’t speaking to me.

The difference between me, and the author would probably have been that, when asked why the homeless guy doesn’t do the work, I would have probably replied, “Because he’s a democrat.”

Why the Stimulous Bill won’t work:

Economic Stimulus can work under the right circumstances, when done right, but this new stimulus bill will destroy what’s left of our damaged economy.

Why? I mean besides the fact that it loaded with pork?

  1. It is based on massive debt.
  2. It doesn’t put money in the right places.
  3. It rewards foolish behavior, while punishing those who act responsibly.

And now, since you’re still reading, I will explain.

President Obama says that the stimulous bill will create jobs, and that those jobs will pour money back into the economy. (Actually, most of what it creates is more government, but whatever.)

Sounds great! So what’s the logic defect?

Well, the bill creates new jobs, but not new businesses. So these new jobs will not be self-sustaining. They are only able to exist while money is being funneled into them. They don’t produce wealth, they consume it.

But that’s not all! The real problem is that our government doesn’t have the money to pay all these workers. So it will be borrowed (with interest), to be given to workers who’s jobs were “created”  to get the stimulus money into the economy, from which it was taken in the first place. Supposedly. (Sheesh, Obamic logic is hard to flollow.)

So, basically, we’re going to confiscate trillions of dollars from our own economy, pay finance charges on it, and put it back in. This helps us how?

But that’s not the worst of it. Here a few of the things Congress thinks will stimulate you.

  • $80 Million in aid to the Internal Revenue Service to provide health coverage to workers laid off because of outsourcing overseas.
  • $15 Million for Interior spending oversight. (What?)
  • $1.52 Billion for industrial carbon capture and energy efficiency improvement projects.
  • $50 Million for identifying sites to store carbon dioxide emissions.
  • $20 Million for training and research on safe storage of carbon emission.
  • $5.55 Billion for construction, repair and energy alterations to federal buildings and facilities.
  • $300 Million for the purchase of fuel efficient vehicles for federal fleet.

As you can see, the bill seems to be more focused on stimulating government than on creating wealth.

Come on, Congress, Obama! It’s a stimulus bill—you claim—so it should only be doing what you’re saying it will do; stimulating the economy!!! Do any of the above mentioned earmarks seem like they will stimulate anything, besides federal employees?

The dirty little secret: This bill punishes hard working Americans by confiscating, and wasting their wealth, and rewards lazy, foolish, and irresponsible people by providing them with things they haven’t earned or didn’t have the sense to keep.

So I ask, if you throw away your integrity and decency (something that’s all the rage these days), which side would you rather be on? The working end, or the getting end? — And what happens to our economy when no one wants to be on the working end any more?

If you’re still with me, I think you’ve probably figured out why this bill won’t save anything.

You’re in the Army now!

Okay, I have noticed that TV, Radio, and Newspapers have been constantly referring to Barack Obama as our Commander-in-Chief. What the heck? Did somebody secretly sign us all up for Military service?

Barack Obama is Commander-in-Chief to the U.S. Armed Forces (i.e. Army, Navy, Coast Guard). He is not my Commander! And if you’re not a soldier, he’s not your Commander either!

This is not Cuba, or the USSR! President Obama, contrary to what he thinks, does not command the nation! He’s represents it! Our country was designed as a Representative Republic! These Obasmic references to our Commander-in-Chief, in the context of the civilian public, is just another apparent attempt by Liberal Fascists to influence the public perception of the President’s role.

I’ve just about had it with these people!

Our—so called—Commander has forced us all to incur massive debt, in the face of serious economic hardship, for the despicable purpose of funding thousands of democrat pork projects, thus tripling the National Deficit in 3 weeks, all the while complaining about how the previous Administration doubled it in 8 years! We sure picked a winner, America.

Comrades, we are in for a rough ride! But now that we’re in the Military, we’ll be getting government benefits, paid for by . . . oh who the heck knows?!

Martin-Luther-King-Obama

It’s Martin Luther King Day today, and tomorrow, the United State’s first black president will be inaugurated.

Even though I strongly disagree with most of Barack Obama’s politics, I think it’s a true testament to the progress of civil rights in America.

At one time, black people were totally without rights in this country. Today, they are equal—a full panoply of rights at their command; including even the attainment of the highest political office in the land. It’s not just a theory any more—it’s a fact.

In that sense, the upcoming inauguration day will be an extra special one.

I’m happy for the black community, and excited for what this means to them.  I see people for who they are, and not the color of their skin, but I also recognize that the black community, for generations, has struggled for freedom, rights, and equality, and they deserve their day in the sun. Congratulations!

But next time, please, just not Obama!

Live life well….

Live your life so that when you die,
the world cries and you rejoice.”

~ Cherokee Expression

Sometimes I get cranky with the world and let things get to me. But I know it’s important to remember and appreciate the things that are wonderful and grand. I love beautiful artwork, photographs, and poetry. Above are a couple of things I found today that I really liked!

What are some of the things that brighten your life?

Slaves to a System

cv_slavery_0407

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the problems that our country is facing, and I’m just so … frustrated! The world is upside down, and no one seems to notice. We’ve got congress trying to spend us out of debt. Barack Hussein Obama thinks a trillion-dollar stimulus package is super idea. Never mind that we don’t have the money; we’ll just print it. But don’t worry, if we flood the nation’s money supply with a trillion dollars worth of monopoly money it won’t cause inflation, right? Seriously, didn’t our congressmen and women go to high school? Because I remember learning about this stuff in my l0th grade economics class! Another thing I learned in that class: Capitalism = Good

Even more offensive to my sensibilities is a frightening new paradigm of socialistic thinking that is washing over our nation like a terrifying wave of political effluent; the direct result of decades of greed, and selfishness. America has become a “me too” state full of whiners, wimps, and crybabies who think that everything has to be “fair” all the time. And before you go thinking that absolute fairness is a good thing, I want you to stop and consider the cost. What is the cost? Oh where do I begin? How about a loss of freedom, control, and independence? And if you think that’s not so bad, just ask any person living in a “home” how they like it. Are they happy being dependent? Do they enjoy having every aspect of their life structured by someone else? Do they like being told what to do? I think they’ll tell you it sucks!

If you think that socialism won’t try to creep in, or even if it does, that it won’t cause suffering and loss, well, clearly you’re not a student of history. This story has been repeated over and over for millennia throughout the history of mankind. And I’m here to tell you, we’re no different from those who walked this path before us, including making the tragic mistake of allowing ourselves to think we’re different; to be filled with a blind confidence and pride which surely is a sign of (if not a direct precursor) to our inevitable failure and destruction. Pride goeth before a fall. And a wise man knows it, and stays away from it.

So what is the point of all this? What am I really trying to say? Well, in a nutshell, America—with its arrogant, misguided leadership—is on a high speed track to destination socialism. But, trust me, you don’t want to go there. Trading your independence for security because you think it’s going to bring you “stuff” is like killing the goose that laid the golden egg. In the end, you’ll wind up, sadly, with neither.

If you care about your future and the future of your children, you’ll want to give serious thought to what I am saying here. Contemplate what I have to say, and arrive at your own conclusion, but understand that we’re at a turning point in this country, and the consequences of our decisions now will have a profound affect on our future, and the future of our children.

Liberalism and democracy are nothing more than elected socialism. Our country, the USA, was founded as a constitutional republic, and not a democracy. When we pledge allegiance to the flag, we say, “and to the republic for which is stands.” We don’t say, “and to the democracy for which it stands.” That’s because we are not a democracy, or at least, we’re not supposed to be! The democratic party is operating our government in a manner inconsistent with its founding principles; the result of which will eventually bring an end to our freedom if we continue to allow it!

A full explanation of the relationship between liberalism, and socialism is beyond the scope of this post, but if you’re interested in an expanded understanding of liberalism, fascism, and “progressive” democracy, I highly recommend the book, Liberal Fascism, by Jonah Goldberg, which explains things far better than I ever could.

So let me repeat, liberalism is socialism … in disguise. And socialism is a form of slavery. Let me explain how by defining what slavery is: Slavery is the act of forcing of someone to work, involuntarily, for the purpose of another. In other words, if I force you to work, against your will, for me; that would be slavery. And wouldn’t you agree that such an act is an unethical and evil thing to impose upon another human being?

But what if it’s the government that’s doing the forcing? What if you were required by the government to spend 15 hours a week doing yard-work for another (perhaps less fortunate) person, or face going to prison? Would that be slavery? Would that be forcing you to labor, involuntarily, for purpose of another? Or, what if you were forced to relinquish your property, or money, which you have earned through your own labor, for the purposes of someone else? Is that not essentially the same thing—the same thing as slavery?

Well, the honest answer is, yes, that is slavery. It’s wrong, it’s immoral, and yes, it is evil. No one has a right to force someone else to labor for the purposes of another; but that is exactly what socialism does. It’s exactly what the democratic political party seeks to impose. It is exactly what Barack Obama is talking about when he refers to “spreading the wealth”.

I know this is a controversial statement, but I must say it: The democrat party, including President-elect Barack Obama, believe in, and support the use of slavery, and by that virtue the unjust oppression of the entire American Public.

I am sorry! It’s not my fault they chose this position, but they have, and I am sorry for that! But I can’t change it, and I’m not going to lie about it. In fact, I want you to know what you’re getting into. I want you to be aware of it.

Now, I’m not saying that all democrats are evil. Many have good intentions, and believe that they’re doing the right thing. They think that the ends justify the means. They suffer from a megalomaniacal delusion that they can do no wrong because their intentions are good. But they are wrong. There is a good reason why so many countries—steeped in socialism—suffer from an ethereal sense of darkness and misery. It’s because socialism is inherently evil, and using evil designs to try to achieve societal utopia is a futile endeavor, because the two concepts are fundamentally incompatible.

You can’t achieve goodness through actions that are fundamentally evil and wrong. The ends don’t justify the means, and the results of ignoring such wisdom will always be tragic. You can’t regulate people into greatness, and you can’t build a healthy society through oppression and slavery.

Freedom and Capitalism built up this country and made it great. They are not a failure as our media and government want us to believe. Our economic problems are absolutely the result of government interference and tampering with fundamental market principles of capitalism and freedom.

We can’t spend our way out of debt, or oppress our way out of unfairness. And we can’t elect slave-masters to save us from poverty and inequality. These things won’t work, and we won’t be saved.

I don’t know how to make it any clearer. I don’t know how else to convince you. I can only tell you what I know, and what I believe. I can only tell you the truth, and pray that somehow you’ll believe it. That we’ll escape from the chains that are being drawn around us, and defeat the agents of change who seek to take away our freedom, money, and independence.

Don’t fall into the trap. Don’t get into the strange man’s car because he’s offering a piece of candy. Understand that there’s no such thing as a free lunch!

We are standing at the edge, looking down at a hole from which any escape is unlikely without real bloodshed. Let’s not go in. Let’s not lose our country.

We need to wise up! We need to elect good leaders! we need to get involved, because if we don’t stop the foolishness, and educate ourselves, and make the right choices: We, our children, and their children are at dire risk of becoming slaves to a system….

Please, don’t let it happen!
